Home :: Methodologies :: Verification Verification and validation is an integral part of any development process. This final step determines whether the designed system meets all requirements and specifications and ultimately fulfills the intended purpose. Verification is performed by a combination of:
Traceability is necessary to ensure that all requirements have been implemented completely and correctly. Fault Injection Testing (FIT) is a methodology to verify correctness of system and FMEA analyses and to challenge test a system. V&V is a planned activity and should be performed under strict quality control. The result of each V&V activity should be predicted before the activity is performed. V&V execution is a formal process and has to be sufficiently documented to allow repeatability of all activities at a later time with identical or similar results. |
